AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City recently aired its fourth episode of an eight-part season, which featured a popular New York City museum. In the episode, "Feisty Friendly," the Bruegel, portrayed by Sons of Anarchy actor Kim Coates, and his gang reside in a museum that features many notable pieces of art he acquired on the island of Manhattan. Which museum was it?
This article contains spoilers for episode 4, "Feisty Friendly," of The Walking Dead: Dead City.

Much of the episode took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or The Met. Founded in 1870, it currently houses over 5,000 years of art from around the world. The museum's history, which is extremely interesting, is chronicled on the museum website.
The Met mission statement:
"The Metropolitan Museum of Art collects, studies, conserves, and presents significant works of art across time and cultures in order to connect all people to creativity, knowledge, ideas, and one another."
The Dead City episode featured the museum as a headquarters for Bruegel (Kim Coates), leader of the Silk Stockings, who won it from the gang led by Christos (Jake Weary) in a walker gladiator match. Bruegel welcomed Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the Croat (Željko Ivanek), the Dama (Lisa Emery), and their gang as they attempted to agree on a plan to work together against New Babylon and protect the methane production in Manhattan.

Bruegel utilized his brilliant mind to make the museum a welcoming space, employing mirrors to capture the sunlight. He also possessed an impressive art collection, including a painting of George Washington Crossing the Delaware, his favorite piece. He gave Negan and the others a tour of his collection, and when asked his opinion, Negan stated that he is "more of a movie poster" kind of guy.
What was another museum featured in The Walking Dead?

During The Walking Dead season 9 opener, "A New Beginning," the survivors visit the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History located in Washington, DC. They were searching for farming equipment and a covered wagon. Filming for the museum actually took place at the Georgia State Capitol Building, located in Atlanta.
