Norman Reedus is a man of many faces. Video game fans know him for portraying Sam Porter Bridges in Hideo Kojima's acclaimed Death Stranding saga, while others witnessed his breakout role as Murphy MacManus in The Boondock Saints. However, there's no doubt that the actor's most iconic role has been Daryl Dixon in AMC's The Walking Dead.
The iconic post-apocalyptic survivor is so beloved that he eventually went on to star in his own spin-off series titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Unfortunately, the character's tale is seemingly coming to an end with the release of the show's fourth and final season in 2027. On the upside, this won't be the last time we see Norman Reedus take over the small screen, as he has just joined the cast of an upcoming Apple TV production.
Norman Reedus joins the cast of Apple TV's Disavowed
As reported by Variety, Reedus will star alongside James Marsden in Apple TV's Disavowed. The action-packed thriller will feature an original story crafted by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the writers behind the first Iron Man movie and the Uncharted live-action adaptation.
While the upcoming project is surrounded by a lot of secrecy, Apple did give us a tease of what to expect courtesy of an official synopsis:
"Marsden will play legendary CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin, who is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an elusive assassin responsible for killing his colleague. Disgraced and outcast from the world of intelligence, all bets are off when Brad decides to go after the $15 million federal bounty on the assassin’s head."

Unfortunately, details about Reedus' role remain under wraps, but it has been revealed that he will be a series regular. Furthermore, Disavowed will be produced by Marcum, Holloway, Tom Spezialy, and Marsden, with Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity serving as executive producers.
Of course, Reedus is no stranger to the action genre, appearing in films like From the World of John Wick: Ballerina and Blade II. That makes him a perfect fit for the upcoming spy thriller, regardless of the character he's set to play. But before we see him trapped in a world of espionage, he will first appear in the upcoming drama The Housewife, which marks Ben Shirinian's directorial debut.
Reedus is also set to go back to the horror genre thanks to the release of Pendulum, an upcoming R-rated film set to be released on Jan. 1, 2027, which also stars Phoebe Dynevor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Jacki Weaver. After that, we're bound to see Reedus in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 4, although AMC hasn't announced a release window for the highly anticipated project just yet. It won't be until after Daryl's story comes to an end that Apple TV's Disavowed will hit the small screen.
The upcoming years will be busy for Reedus, and with a bit of luck, he will also be part of that long-awaited The Walking Dead reunion project (because it never hurts to dream).
