Norman Reedus just shared a massive update about Boondock Saints 3, and it's definitely a good news for fans of Troy Duffy's cult film series.
In an interview with Lifestyle Asia from Hong Kong Comic Con 2026, Norman Reedus revealed Boondock Saints 3 is still in the works, and it's getting closer to becoming a reality. He also revealed that there's finally a script for the third film.
"We’re talking about doing another one. Yeah, so there’s a script right now about a Boondocks 3. Everyone’s kind of arguing over it right now. So I think the guys who did John Wick want to make a big one."
Boondock Saints 3 has been rumored for years. Duffy revealed in the fall of 2025 that there were still discussions about the third movie, but this is the first time we've learned that those conversations are still happening, the script is done, and who could be producing the film.
It's also interesting Reedus mentioned John Wick because he just starred in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina along with Ana de Armas.
So far, we haven't seen official confirmation that Boondock Saints 3 is officially a go. The fact that Reedus is willing to share that they are arguing about the script and things like that behind the scenes is a very good sign that things are at least moving in the right direction. Hopefully, we'll get some more updates soon.
Everyone knows Reedus for starring as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for the last 15-plus years. Before that, though, Reedus made a name for himself starring in the 1997 cult classic, The Boondock Saints, alongside Willem Dafoe and Sean Patrick Flanery.
Of course, Reedus's schedule is probably going to be quite a bit more open than the last few years. Daryl Dixon season 4 wrapped filming at the end of 2025. With that being the final season of The Walking Dead series, Reedus should have more time for other projects, like Boondock Saints 3.
Daryl Dixon season 4 will premiere on AMC sometime later this year. We're still waiting for confirmation of the release date on AMC. With The Walking Dead: Dead City season 3's premiere on July 26 and running through September, we could see Daryl Dixon season 4 as early as the final week of September or sometime in October.
Of course, we'll continue to share updates on Daryl Dixon season 4. Typically, The Walking Dead heads over to the San Diego Comic-Con in July, so we could learn something around that time.
With Daryl Dixon coming to an end soon, there are some fans who are probably worried Reedus is going to disappear for a while, but we already know that's not going to be the case. Reedus will star in Pendulum, which premieres in theaters on Jan. 7. The horror movie also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Phoebe Dynevor, and Jacki Weaver.
Stay tuned for more news about Daryl Dixon season 4, Reedus' other projects, and Boondock Saints 3.
