Award-winning actress Samantha Morton announced the release of a new video for the latest single that will be featured on her album, Daffodils and Dirt. The album is currently available for pre-order.
Morton has teamed up with producer and XL Recordings boss Richard Russell for the duo known as Sam Morton, whose album Daffodils & Dirt releases on June 14 on the XL label. Recently Mortong revealed the video for the latest single from the album "Let's Walk In The Night" featuring Alabaster DePlume. She directed the video, which stars Safia Oakley-Green and Conrad Khan.
In addition to Alabaster De Plume, the album features other guests, including Laura Groves, Jack Peñate, and Ali Campbell.
"The part-autobiographical album see Russell’s spartan soundscapes providing a rich foundation for Morton’s gorgeous, ethereal vocal, aided by a cast of musical collaborators that include Alabaster DePlume, Laura Groves, Jack Peñate and additional vocalist Ali Campbell (on “Broxtowe Girl”)."
Sam Morton will be featured in their biggest headline show at London's ICA on June 20. Tickets are on sale beginning March 18 via Dice. The band is also scheduled to perform at the End of the Road festival, among others.
