Collider's 10 Most Badass Television Action Heros list includes a Walking Dead badass
By Renee Hansen
During its eleven-season run, The Walking Dead introduced many characters who were made for the apocalypse. They utilized their strengths to become survivors and often had to make hard choices to protect the ones they love. This week, Collider compiled their list of the 10 Most Badass Television Action Heroes, Ranked, and included one significant badass from The Walking Dead universe.
It wasn't Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) or Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) who ranked No. 7 on the list but badass katana-carrying Michonne (Danai Gurira). She is one of four female characters on the list, along with Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) - Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Xena (Lucy Lawless) - Xena: Warrior Princess.
" Going from a hardened outcast to an integral leader within Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group, Michonne was consistently the most capable and badass hero in The Walking Dead."
- Collider
Briefly introduced during the season 2 finale, Michonne would make her proper debut in season 3. Here, she befriends Andrea (Laurie Holden) and cares for her while she is sick. They would eventually make their way to Woodbury, run by the Governor (David Morrissey), who would become obsessed with exacting revenge on Michonne after she puts down his undead daughter and takes his eye in a fight.
This would lead her to finding Rick and his group at the prison. And although viewers know they eventually become a couple, their first meeting was far from love at first sight.
Michonne quickly proves herself to be a fighter and survivor and becomes a great leader among the group. She will continue her badassery in the Rick and Michonne spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which premieres on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, February 25. Don't miss it!!
