Danai Gurira is back as Michonne in new promo for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

In February, AMC will premiere the sixth spinoff series in The Walking Dead universe. Titled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the series is the highly anticipated continuation of Rick and Michonne's story. As the premiere date draws near, AMC has released several promo clips to build the excitement.

One of the most recent promos features Danai Gurira front and center as her character Michonne, who emerges from red smoke, looking like she is ready to take on anything that comes her way. It is so excited to see Michonne after all this time.

Michonne - The One Who Live

After discovering that Rick didn't die in the bridge explosion featured in season 9 of The Walking Dead, Michonne told their daughter Judith (Cailey Fleming), who urged her mother to go in search of him. In season 10 of the series, Michonne begins her search, but not before running into Bailey (Andrew Bachelor) and Aiden (Breeda Wool), who are part of a massive caravan seen in the distance. The mysterious group has never been addressed, but The Ones Who Live trailer features Bailey and Aiden, so viewers will finally discover who this group is.

It has been years since Michonne has seen her love, and The Ones Who Live will feature the reunion of the powerhouse couple, but not before filling in some of the blanks of what has transpired since they departed the series.

There is also the Civic Republic Military (CRM) and Major General Beale (Terry O'Quinn) to contend with. Beale is known as a ruthless man, the same man who ordered communities wiped out, killing over 100,000 people. This organization has held Rick for all these years.
