Deadline reports that Fear the Walking Dead alum Garret Dillahunt has been cast in Peacock's new satanic thriller, Hysteria! Dillahunt joins the cast with Elijah Richardson, Nolan Ryan, Milly Shapiro, Allison Scagliotti, and Jessica Treska in recurring roles.

Peacock's coming-of-age Satanic Panic thriller is written and executive produced by Matthew Scott Kane (Stitchers) and David Goodman (Orville). Hysteria! follows a group of misfit teens in the 1980s during the growing hysteria of teen occult activity.

The official synopsis says that a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the Satanic Panic of the late 1980s, which was the moral panic consisting of over 12,000 unsubstantiated cases of Satanic ritual abuse. A struggling teen metal band decides to capitalize on the panic by promoting themselves as a Satanic band. When a string of murders, kidnappings, and supernatural activity is reported, the band second-guesses their decision when the events lead back to them.

Dillahunt and the newly cast actors join the previously announced Julie Bowen, Anna Camp, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis, Nikki Hahn, and Bruce Campbell.
