It isn't always easy to explain why certain characters resonate with viewers. This is the case with June Dorie, who was portrayed by Jenna Elfman in Fear the Walking Dead. June is a complex woman full of surprises and talents, making her a survivor. In a recent social media post Elfman shares some of her favorite moments of June.

June had a rocky start upon her introduction to the series. She initially had walls built around herself, which didn't allow anyone to step behind. It would later be revealed that she lost her daughter Rose, who caught pneumonia, died, turned, and infected many others at a FEMA camp where they were living. This would cause the strongest person to buckle, but compounded with the outbreak, it was something even harder to endure.

Elfman recent posted series of images of June in which she stated "I crave and expect to feel as alive & stimulated in my work as I did in some of these moments on Fear the Walking Dead"

The images feature June Dorie in different moments throughout her story, including times of heartbreak, pain, survival, and friendship. June had much to offer the survivors and became a vital person in their lives. She nursed the sick, fought the battles, and dealt with the heavy losses of her husband, John (Garret Dillahunt), and father-in-law, played by Keith Carradine.

Fear the Walking Dead director Michael Satrazemis commented on Elfman's post "It’s in your soul’s DNA to create strong emotions through beautiful storytelling. I’m beyond proud to have been a witness to many of those moments. It will occur again soon and I hope I’m at your side!!!!!!!!!"

Elfman is probably best known for her role in the ABC sitcom Dharma & Greg, which aired between 1997 and 2002 and currently streams on Hulu & Prime Video. For her performance, she received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy in 1999 and three nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Her debut film role was in the 1997 movie Grosse Point Blank with John Cusack and she has also starred in Dr. Dolittle, Keeping the Faith, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Her TV credits include Courting Alex, Accidentally on Purpose, Growing up Fisher and more.

Elfman is fondly remembered as the Angel stripper in the 1998 movie Can't Hardly Wait. This was an uncredited role in which Elfman stole the scene. After having a bad night she forms an unlikely connection with Preston (Ethan Embry) who has also had a night that didn't turn out like he hoped.

Elfman has been married to Bodhi Elfman since 1995, and the pair host the Kicking and Screaming by Jenna and Bodhi Elfman podcast, where they discuss "marriage, life, and annoyance, not necessarily in that order."

We are excited to see what's next for Jenna Elfman as her time as June Dorie concluded with the end of the Fear the Walking Dead series in 2023.
