New characters introduced in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 1

The exciting debut episode of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live showcased a great variety of new charcters to TWDU. This series is the sixth spinoff of The Walking Dead and focuses on Rick and Michonne, played by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira.
The Ones Who Live is a new series so there will be many new faces. There are also a couple other familiar faces joining Rick and Michonne. Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) returns in this series as a warrant officer for the Civic Republic Military (CRM). She was first introduced in this role during The Walking Dead: World Beyond spinoff. Two other characters who were briefly featured in Michonne's final episode of TWD in season 10. Aiden and Bailey, who needed assistance from Michonne and are part of a huge caravan of survivors return, the roles played by Andrew Bachelor and Breeda Wool.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live new characters
Pearl Thorne portrayed by Lesley-Ann Brandt
Thorne is a member of the culling facility workers with Rick. They are the Civic Republic's first line of defense, killing walkers so they don't enter the city. She is a former South African Navy woman stationed on submarines. She is a fighter and a leader and isn't afraid to get right in the thick of things. She and Rick doen't always see eye to eye but have a understanding and work well together. Toward the end of the episode they were stationed in the Cascades converting a college into a forward operating base.
Donald Okafor portrayed by Craig Tate
Lt. Col. Okafor of the CRM saw something speical in Rick Grimes. He would later explain that both Thorne and Grimes were designated "A," which signifys leaders and people who think on their own. These are the ones who are usually killed but Okafor knew they were destined for more. Sadly, he is killed by the end of the episode.
Esteban Garcia portrayed by Frankie Quinones
Esteban is a friend of Rick's who seems to have a postive outlook on life and is thrilled to have finished his six years in the culling facilities to take on his new role as Deputy Manager of Water and Power of Ward 3. He considers Rick a friend and even risks his job to help Rick plan his fifth escape.
Major General Beale portrayed by Terry O'Quinn
O'Quinn just fits this role perfectly. Beale is a ruthless man who questions Rick and tries to sift through others lies as he keeps his own. He believes Rick joins the CRM to either kill, die, or plan his next escape.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live returns on Sunday, March 3, with episode 2, "Gone."
