Denise Huth is known as an executive producer on The Walking Dead. She has been involved since the beginning when Frank Darabont was the showrunner and continued with The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live spinoff after the flagship series concluded in 2022.

Recently, Huth shared a post on social media (see below) celebrating the 14-year anniversary of filming the pilot of The Walking Dead. Filming for "Days Gone Bye" began on June 2, 2010, and the six-episode debut season premiered on October 31, 2010.

The pilot episode of The Walking Dead set the tone for the remainder of the first season. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is introduced and, in the first scene, must take down a child walker known as the Teddy Bear Walker. It was a gusty move to feature this type of death at the beginning of a brand-new series.

The fact that filming for the series began 14 years ago is a crazy notion for fans of the long-running series. Many can't remember a time when TWD wasn't a part of their lives, while at the same time, it doesn't seem that long ago. Now, the main series has been concluded close to two years, and a slew of spinoffs have debuted, with the newest ones continuing the stories of several characters who were first introduced in the main series.

Huth's main occupation within TWDU has been as a producer, but she has appeared in the series in other capacities. Firstly, she portrayed Mrs. Blake, wife of Philip, aka the Governor and mother of Penny Blake. She was featured in the photograph the Governor had in his apartment in Woodbury and never seen onscreen because she died in a car accident before the outbreak.

The second time she appeared in the series is featured in the image below, which was shared by TWD cinematographer Duane Charles Manwiller. Huth is featured with TWD showrunner Angela Kang in a scene from the final season of the series.

Huth is also well known for producing Darabont's film The Mist, which stars several Walking Dead cast members. This film is based on Stephen King's same-titled novella. She has also worked with Darabont on Raines and The Majestic.

In 2022, she attended The Walking Dead finale event in Los Angeles, which was hosted by Chris Harwick (Talking Dead). She has also attended many of the press events for The Ones Who Live in 2024.
