Stream Walking Dead spinoff on Netflix ahead of season 2 premiere date

Earlier this month, AMC Networks and Netflix announced a collaboration to bring 13 of AMC's original series to the streaming service. Included in the deal are three more Walking Dead universe series, as Netflix has been home to all eleven seasons of The Walking Dead for quite some time.
The first season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the fifth spinoff of the main series, is now available to stream. This series features Norman Reedus reprising his role as the titular character, which he has played since 2010. The Daryl Dixon series significantly expands the Walking Dead universe by setting this story in France.
The first season consists of six episodes and follows Daryl as he unwillingly travels to France. Upon his arrival, he sets a plan to return home. His plan is put on hold after he encounters a nun, Isabelle (Clémence Poésy), and a young boy, Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), who are in dire need of his help.
His two new friends are part of a group known as The Union of Hope, who believe that Laurent will be the one to save humanity. They need to safely transport him to The Nest, the group's main headquarters. Their mission is opposed by Pouvoir or The Power of the Living led by Genet (Anne Charrier).
The first season also offers a cameo by Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier. Daryl is able to connect with her via radio while out on his travels to find clues about Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) and find what else is out there, beyond the communities.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2
The series has been renewed for second and third seasons, with the end of the first setting up stories for season 2, subtitled The Book of Carol. The six-part season will premiere on AMC and AMC+ beginning September 29.

Beginning January 13, 2025, Netflix will add the first seasons of two additional Walking Dead spinoffs, The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
