Deadline reports that Tales of the Walking Dead actress Daniella Pineda has been cast in the second Accountant movie which is a sequel to the Ben Affleck led film from 2016. Pineda is remembered in The Walking Dead fandom for her portrayal opposite Danny Ramirez in the sixth and final episode of the spinoff, Tales of the Walking Dead.

The Accountant 2 is directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque, who also played the same roles in the original. Affleck will be joined by Jon Bernthal, J. K. Simmons, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson, who all reprise their roles from the first film. Pineda was announced along with other newcomers, Allison Robertson, Robert Morgan, and Grant Harvey.

The second film tells of Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina (Addai-Robinson), who enlists the help of Christian Wolff (Affleck) to solve the murder of her boss, who was killed by assassins. Christian, with the help of his estranged and lethal brother Brax (Bernthal), uses less than legal methods and Christian's brilliant mind to discover the truth behind the murder. "As they get closer to the truth, the trio draws the attention of some of the most ruthless killers alive — all intent on putting a stop to their search."

The Accountant was the most rented film of 2017 and grossed $155 million worldwide when it was released in theaters by Warner Brothers. The new film is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Artists Equity, which acquired the rights from Warner Brothers.
