The Color Purple reboot musical is coming to Blu-ray and DVD soon!
Two Walking Dead universe actors star in The Color Purple musical adaptation, Colman Domingo of Fear TWD and Corey Hawkins of TWD series.

In 2023, fans of The Color Purple were treated to a reboot that was given a musical treatment. The story followed the original that was based on Alice Walker's 1982 same-titled novel. If you saw it in theaters and need to see it again, or missed it theaters, never fear, the Blu-ray and DVD will be released much sooner than anticiapted.
The new Color Purple film adaptation is directed by Blitz Bazawule, a Ghanaian filmmaker, with a screenplay by Marcus Gardley, an American playwright. The film stars an ensemble cast with a cameo appearance by Whoopi Goldberg, who starred in the original film.

The Color Purple tells of resilience across a decades-long story of one woman's hard-fought journey to independence. Celie faces unsurmountable hardships but eventually finds her strength and hope in the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood.
Amazon currently has Blu-ray and DVD editions of The Color Purple musical available for pre-order. The title's official release day is March 12, 2024. If physical media isn't your thing, never fear; the digital release occurred on January 16 and can be purchased on Prime Video, Vudu, Apple TV, and more.
