Who does Corey Hawkins play in The Walking Dead series?

Actor Corey Hawkins is currently riding the success of The Color Purple musical, where he portrays Harpo, son of Colman Domingo's (Victor Strand on Fear TWD) Mister. Hawkins has starred in many memorable roles during his career, one of which is that of Heath in The Walking Dead.
Heath, a resident of Alexandria, was introduced in season six of the series. While newly arrived Eugene (Josh McDermitt) is guarding the gate at Alexandria, three residents return from a supply run. Heath, Scott (Kendric Green), and Annie (Beth Kenner) are greeted by Eugene, who is impressed with Heath's hair.
Heath is one character featured in The Walking Dead who was never heard from again.
What happened to Heath on The Walking Dead?
Showrunner Angela Kang has confirmed that while on a supply run with Tara (Alanna Masterson) in season 7, Heath was abducted and traded to the CRM (Civic Republic Military) by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh). This was a practice Jadis/Anne would admit to Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) in season 9 before finding Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and rescuing him with the aid of the CRM.
Many viewers hoped to see or hear something about Heath in the spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond. This series saw a significant focus on the CRM, and Jadis returned as a Warrant Officer for the organization. But sadly, nothing was heard of Heath.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is the upcoming spinoff that will feature the return of Rick and Michonne. This is another series in which the CRM will be a focus. Will Heath finally make a return in this series? Or perhaps some mention of him will be made? Don't miss The Ones Who Live on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024.
Hawkins has recently starred in the musical adaptation of The Color Purple and the horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter, based on a chapter from Bram Stoker's Dracula.
