Actress Danai Gurira will once again carry her katana as Michonne in the upcoming The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live spinoff series. Affectionately referred to as the Rick and Michonne series, The Ones Who Live will continue the epic love story of these two characters. The series premieres on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, and just days before, Gurira will be a featured guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Hosted by singer Kelly Clarkson, the talk show hosts a wide range of famous guests and features segments about "everyday people." Gurira will be promoting the upcoming spinoff where she reprises the role of Michonne, one she began in the third season of the long-running Walking Dead series.

The Ones Who Live will reunite Rick and Michonne, who have been apart for many years. A code scene following the series finale episode of The Walking Dead filled in some blanks regarding what has transpired for each one since departing the main series. Rick, who has been held by the Civic Republic Miltiary (CRM) has tried everything to return to his family. Michonne has never given up searching for her true love or given up hope that one day they will find one another.

Don't miss The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live on AMC and AMC+ on February 25.

Danai Gurira - Eyes of Wakanda

It is possible that Gurira will reprise her role as Okoye, General of the Dora Milaje in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time, she would voice the character in the first spinoff of Black Panther, Eyes of Wakanda, an animated series.

"Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story."
