The Ones Who Live actress Pollyanna McIntosh thanks fans of The Walking Dead family
By Renee Hansen
Actress Pollyanna McIntosh posted a heartfelt video thanking fans of The Walking Dead universe for all of their support of her and the fandom in general. She stated that the fans have been such "bloody fun to hang out with all of these years." McIntosh is well known within TWDU for her portrayal of Jadis.
McIntosh's Jadis is the first character within TWDU to appear in three of the series with significant roles. Melissa McBride was featured in TWD, Fear the Walking Dead, and will soon appear in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol, but her appearance in Fear TWD was brief.
McIntosh was introduced as Jadis, leader of the Scavengers who made a junkyard their apocolyptic home. As leader of the group, Jadis believed they could become their own civilization by creating their own language, a form of broken English. The group scavenged for supplies to make their own weapons and avoided conflicts with other groups if possible. Jadis would eventually partner with the advanced group known as the CRM (Civic Republic Military), trading humans for supplies.

The relationship with the CRM would become very beneficial for Jadis in season 9 of The Walking Dead when she found a wounded Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) along the riverbank. The CRM rescued her with the promise of Rick as a trade. This would lead to Jadis joining the CRM and becoming a high-ranking warrant officer, which led to her appearance in The Walking Dead: World Beyond spinoff.
This role would lead to her appearance in the third series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which brought Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira) back to the storyline in a continuation of their heartwarming love story. This series also saw the end of Jadis. She was loyal to the CRM to the end but did give Rick and Michonne vital information, which allowed them to protect themselves and their children while also helping them take down the CRM.
