The Ones Who Live is about to get steamy as actors use Bridgerton for inspiration

The Netflix original series Bridgerton is based on mass-market paperback romance novels by Julia Quinn and is well known for its steamy love scenes. This is great news for fans of The Walking Dead as The Ones Who Live actors Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, who portray the apocalyptic powerhouse couple Rick and Michonne, used Bridgerton to prepare for the upcoming series.
AMC and AMC+ will premiere the highly anticipated sixth spinoff of The Walking Dead. The Ones Who Live is focused on Rick and Michonne, who have been separated for years but have never given up hope of reuniting.
Fans of The Walking Dead remember the first kiss Rick and Michonne shared during the season 6 episode "The Next World," written by Angela Kang & Corey Reed and directed by Kari Skogland. This is a couple many viewers longed to see come together.

People reports that in a recent appearance at the Television Critic's Association panel for AMC, Lincoln shared about their prep work to set the romantic tone for the "most romantic Walking Dead show."

In season 9, Rick was presumed dead, which caused much heartache for Michonne. She was consoled with a child she conceived before Rick's "death," a son named RJ, and Rick's daughter Judith, whom she had become a mother to. In season 10, Michonne discovers that Rick survived and sets out in search of him.
The Ones Who Live will continue the epic love story of Rick and Michonne and chronicle what has transpired since their depature from the main series into the new storyline of his series.
