The Ones Who Live opening theme mirrors The Walking Dead's final scene
It is true perfection when The Walking Dead universe collides. The latest spinoff, The Ones Who Live's opening music is truly uplifting, and has been used before.

AMC has released the first episode of the sixth Walking Dead spinoff, The One Who Live. This series features the return of Rick and Michonne, an event that has been long in coming. It is always exciting to see worlds collide between the main series and its spinoffs, and this was done with the opening music of the new series.
When I first viewed the screener of episode 1 of The Ones Who Live, the music featured in the opening seemed very uplifting; while I was focused on the images flashing during the song, I didn't pay close attention. During an additional viewing, something clicked as the music seemed familiar. And it should be because it was used in The Walking Dead's series finale episode.
The composer for The Ones Who Live is Sam Ewing, a man who knows his way around a Walking Dead series as he worked alongside Bear McCreary, composer for TWD, since season 5 as a co-writer and was promoted to co-composer in seasons 10 and 11. McCreary, responsible for the iconic Walking Dead theme song, produces Ewing's score on The Ones Who Live.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is the sixth spinoff in The Walking Dead universe and the third to feature continued stories of characters introduced in the main series. The six-part series will chronicle what has transpired for Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira) since they departed the main series in seasons 9 and 10, respectively, and beyond.
New episodes of The Ones Who Live air weekly on AMC and AMC+ on Sundays, with the finale airing on March 31.
