The Walking Dead series began airing in 2010 and concluded its story in 2022. The story is an apocalyptic story, so death is inevitable. Throughout the series, many deaths have left us shaken; some divided the fandom, and others saw viewers leave the series, never to return. Let’s look at all the named characters who died during The Walking Dead’s eleventh and final season.
AMC aired the final season of The Walking Dead in three parts that began airing on August 22, 2021, concluding the series on November 20, 2022. The mega-sized season saw the introduction of the Commonwealth, a community Walking Dead comic fans were excited to see explored. It was a bittersweet season as fans knew it was the end but held on to the promise of many spinoffs yet to come.
Throughout the 12-year run of the series, viewers are no strangers to the loss of favorite characters. The final season was no exception. Over the course of the 24 episodes in season 11, many faces, new and old, met their demise. The fates of the characters who would be featured in spinoffs were safe, but in TWDU, you never know what will happen until the end.
