What was Rick Grimes first walker kill in The Walking Dead series?

On February 25, AMC and AMC+ will premiere the sixth spinoff of the main series titled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. This series will focus on Rick and Michonne and see the return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira. Throughout the years of living in the apocalypse, Rick has become quite the walker killer, but he didn't start out that way.

Rick was introduced during the pilot episode, "Days Gone Bye." Here, he wakes from a coma to a world overrun by the undead. He meets Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and his son Duane ( Adrian Kali Turner), who fill him in on what has transpired since he was hospitalized due to a gunshot wound he received in the line of duty as a sheriff's deputy. They also instruct him on how walkers must be killed by injuring the brain.

The episode begins with Rick killing the Teddy Bear Walker, played by Addy Miller, but chronologically, this isn't the first walker he kills.

Below is an image from the episode where Rick, Morgan, and Duane walk out of the Jones' house to begin Rick's walker-killing training. Rick asks Morgan once again if he is certain they, referring to the walkers, are dead. Morgan explains they are dead save for something in their brain, which is why it has to be the head. The walker next to the fence gets up once he hears them approach, and Rick, in a move that would make Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) proud, begins to bash in the skull.

The next walker Rick killed is Hannah, known as the Bicycle Girl, played by Melissa Cowan. He encountered her before meeting Morgan but wasn't sure what she was. When he revisits her on his way out of King County, he tells her, "I'm sorry this happened to you," before shooting her in the head. Hannah's story, played by Lilli Birdsell, is told in the TWD webisode, The Walking Dead: Torn Apart.

The first walker Rick kills in the series is chronologically his third on-screen kill. The Teddy Bear Walker, played by Addy Miller, was a gutsy way to begin the series. Read about this walker below.
