Season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol has wrapped filming. The second installment of the fifth spinoff in The Walking Dead universe will continue Daryl Dixon's (Norman Reedus) story while including more of Carol Peletier's (Melissa McBride) story.
The Daryl Dixon series began filming the second season months ahead of AMC's announcement regarding the renewal. Production was halted for a time due to the strikes, then in August 2023, AMC struck an agreement with SAG-AFTRA, which authorized the network to continue work on Daryl Dixon, The Ones Who Live, and Interview with a Vampire. This week, it was announced that filming for the second season has been completed.
The first season ended with Daryl being forced to make a difficult decision: get on a boat that can help him make his way back home or stay and help his new friends Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) and Isabelle ((Clémence Poésy). Viewers know he will choose to remain in France but are looking forward to the day he can return home and reunite with his friends and family there.
The second season's subtitle, The Book of Carol, is an exciting addition for fans of McBride's Carol Peletier, a character she has portrayed since 2010. The teaser for the upcoming season reveals that Carol has gone in search of Daryl after he didn't arrive back at the Commonwealth in a week, as promised in the fifth episode of Daryl Dixon. How will the pair find one another when he is in France and she is in the US? Don't miss the exciting second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
