Walking Dead's Angus Sampson joins season 2 of Netflix's Heartbreak High, now streaming

Actor Angus Sampson is well known for his roles in The Lincoln Lawyer, Bump, and the Insidious series of movies. He also portrayed one of the Highwaymen, Ozzy, in The Walking Dead. Sampson has joined the cast of the Netflix series Heartbreak High, which is in its second season.
Heartbreak High is an Australian dramedy created for Netflix by Hannah Carroll Chapman. It is a soft reboot of the 1994 series, which aired on Network Ten from 1994 to 1996 and on ABC from 1997 to 1999. The series's first season met with positive reviews and was renewed for a second season, which premiered on Netflix on April 11, 2024, and has so far received mixed reviews.
Set in Hartley High School, the story unfolds as a map of hook-ups between students is graffitied on a wall in the school. Every student named on the map is forced by the administration to attend a course, Sexual Literacy Tutorial (SLT), or as it is referred to by students, "sluts," which is a sex education course. The creator of the map becomes a social pariah after taking the fall for the creation of the map, excluding the information that she had a co-conspirator, who has now stopped talking to her.
The cast includes Ayesha Madon, James Majoos, Chloé Hayden, Asher Yasbincek, Thomas Weatherall, Will McDonald, Josh Heuston, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman-Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Brodie Townsend, Chika Ikogwe, Scott Major and Rachel House. Season 2 welcomes newcomers Sam Rechner, Kartanya Maynard, and Angus Sampson as Timothy Voss, a "pro-male" sports teacher.

Next, Sampson will appear in the latest Mad Max film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga which will be release in theaters on May 24, 2024. The film is directed by Mad Max co-creator George Miller, who co-wrote the new film with Nico Lathouris. Furiosa is the fifth installment which is a spinoff and prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. The movie also stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth.
He will also star in Deep Water, a movie that follows a group of international travelers onboard a plane that is forced to land in shark-infested waters. They must work together to avoid the sharks drawn to the wreckage. The movie also stars Aaron Eckhart and Ben Kingsley.
