One Tree Hill was created by Mark Schwahn and premiered in 2003 on The WB. After the merger with UPN to form The CW, it was broadcast there for nine seasons. The series begins focusing on two half-brothers, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). The brothers live in the fictional small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, and the story follows their lives in a small town as they, like most high school students, experience love, friendship, rivalries, and betrayal.

The story rapidly progressed, jumping four years in season 5 to feature their lives post-college, filling in the blanks of their college years via flashbacks. Another fourteen-month jump occurred between the sixth and seventh seasons. In 2011, the series was renewed for season 9, which would also be the final season, concluding on April 4, 2012.

Burton Morgan shared her excitement about the project on Instagram, asking the question, "What if you can really go back home?"

Burton Morgan, Bush, and Lenz co-host Drama Queens, an iHeart Radio podcast dedicated to One Tree Hill. The podcast is geared towards One Tree Hill superfans, as the trio rewatch episodes and reveal all the details you need to know.
