Walking Dead's Tom Payne announces baby due in April on First Class Fatherhood podcast
By Renee Hansen
Tom Payne has made quite the name for himself starring as Jesus in AMC's The Walking Dead and as Malcolm Bright on the Fox series Prodigal Son. He was recently interviewed on the podcast First Class Fatherhood, hosted by Alec Lace, who gets all the details on what is going on in Payne's life.
The most exciting news is that Payne and his wife, Jennifer Åkerman, are expecting their next child in April 2024. The new addition will bring their family to four members, as they had their first child, a son, in 2022. Congrats!!
He also discussed his newest film, Imaginary, a supernatural horror that follows a woman who moves back to her childhood home. While there, her youngest stepdaughter discovers a stuffed bear to which she becomes attached. When strange things begin to happen, it is evident that the bear is something much more sinister than just a toy. I recently watched this movie, and it featured a clever storyline consisting of surprising plot twists and a sinister feel rather than shocking horror, which isn't a negative thing. There were many moments where you were sure you knew what was coming, only to realize things weren't what they seemed.
Next, Payne will star in Kevin Costner's new epic western Horizon: An American Saga. The film is a four-part saga, with parts 1 and 2 released in June and August 2024, respectively. The story spans many years, beginning during the Civil War and then into westward expansion and beyond.
