Walking Dead universe actors Kerry Condon & Gavin Warren in horror film, Night Swim

Actress Kerry Condon only appeared in one episode of The Walking Dead, but her character was very memorable. She now stars in a new supernatural horror, Night Swim, that also stars actor Gavin Warren, who played the son of Dwight & Sherry in the final season of
Fear the Walking Dead.

Bryce McGuire wrote and directed the supernatural horror Night Swim based on the same-titled short film he created with Rod Blackhurst. The film marks McGuire's feature directorial debut and is produced by James Wan (Atomic Monster) and Jason Blum (Blumhouse Productions).

The film stars Condon and Wyatt Russell as Eve and Ray Waller, with Warren portraying their son Elliot. Amélie Hoeferle plays their daughter Izzy and Nancy Lenehan, Jodi Long, Rahnuma Panthak,

Eddie Martinez, and Elijah J. Roberts also star.

Night Swim will be the first horror film of 2024, scheduled to release on January 5. The story tells of the Waller family, who move into a new home after Ray, a professional baseball player, is forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness. The house features a pool, which Ray believes will provide physical therapy for him and fun entertainment for the kids. But none of them expect the pool to contain a dangerous supernatural presence.

After publishing this article I became aware of another Walking Dead connection to this movie. Nerds of Color reported that Wyatt Russell starred in one of The Walking Dead Webisodes: The Oath.

Kerry Condon - The Walking Dead

Condon was featured in The Walking Dead's season 4 episode "30 Days Without an Accident" as a character named Clara. When she first spied Rick (Andrew Lincoln) in the woods and spoke to him, many viewers, myself included, had the thought, "Walkers can talk?" Her appearance was shabby, with her hair over her dirty face, giving the appearance of a member of the undead. She pleads with Rick to help her, and he quickly finds out she is bringing him to her camp to feed him to her undead husband. She begs Rick to shoot her, but to allow her to reanimate, Clara is seen as a walker in three other episodes of the series.

Gavin Warren - Fear the Walking Dead

The eighth and final season of Fear the Walking Dead aired in 2023, and the story experienced a seven-year time jump. This allowed Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry's (Christine Evangelista) son Finch, played by Warren, to be old enough to be featured in the storyline. But the couple always seem to have bad luck, and sadly, their son dies by the midseason finale.
