Renegade Nell is a newly released series on Disney+ starring Fear the Walking Dead actor Frank Dillane as Charles Devereux. The fantasy action-adventure series tells of Nell Jackson, a woman framed for murder who becomes the most feared highwaywoman in the country.
The series was written by BAFTA-winning Sally Wainwright and directed by Ben Taylor, known for Sex Education and Catastrophe and Amanda Brotchie and MJ Delaney. The eight-part series was released on Disney+ on March 29.
After becoming a notorious highwaywoman, Nell Jackson, along with her sisters, embark on a life of plundering and adventure, assisted by a sprite named Billy Blind. As she and her group navigate war-torn Europe, she realizes fate has not led her astray.

Dillane most recently appeared in AppleTV fantasy mystery series The Essex Serpent with Tom Hiddleston, Claire Danes, andWalking Dead: Daryl Dixon actress Clémence Poésy. He also appeared in the anthology drama The Girlfriend Experience on Starz.
He will star in the upcoming drama Harvest, based on the same-titled book by Jim Crace. Set during the Middle Ages in England, during economic turmoil where the locals scapegoat three strangers. The movie also stars Caleb Landry Jones , Harry Melling , Rosy McEwen , Arinzé Kene and Thalissa Teixeira.
Dillane will star with Sophie Turner in a British crime drama, Joan. Turner portrays Joan Harrington, who is known as The Godmother among the British criminal underworld.
