The fourth episode, "What We," was written by Danai Gurira, who has portrayed Michonne since season 3 of the main series. Fans have been excited about this episode since it was announced that Gurira wrote it. The trailer (below) reveals that events pick up immediately following that crazy cliffhanger from the previous episode.

At the end of episode 3 Michonne makes a bold move jumping out of a helicopter, taking Rick with her. She wants to leave the CRM and return to their children, of which Rick still doesn't know he has a son, RJ (Antony Azor). But Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) has issued threats against everyone Rick loves, including his children, making him feel there is no possible way they can leave.

The trailer shows that after their leap from the helicopter, which Gurira has confirmed saw them jump into the water, but the budget didn't allow the scene to be created, they arrive at a facility where Michonne states they need a time out.

The Ones Who Live episode 4

This episode will see Michonne and Rick at odds with their differences of opinons but the trailer also shows them working together against some of the undead. Rick's time with the CRM and multiple unsuccesfull escape attempts has really altered him from the man Michonne once knew. She hasn't changed much since she was last seen in season 10 of The Walking Dead and the combinatin of these two things is making things difficult between them.

The Ones Who Live is, at its heart, a love story, more specificlly Rick and Michonne's, so there is still hope that, as Jadis puts it, together they can do anything.

Don't miss the final three episodes of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live on Sundays on AMC and AMC+.
