The Walking Dead: Dead City will premiere its second season in 2025. Lauren Cohan, who portrays Maggie Rhee in TWDU has directed two episodes for the upcoming season. It is always exciting to see our favorite cast members take on another role within the fandom. Cohan isn't the first cast member to direct at least one episode of the main series or its spinoffs.

Michael Cudlitz is well known for many roles throughout his career including The Walking Dead's quick witted Abraham Ford. After his character's brutal death at the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in season 7, Cudltiz would return to direct several episodes of the series and one of the spinoffs.
