Actor and director Michael Cudlitz is well known for his roles in The Walking Dead and Band of Brothers. He has won awards for his talent as an actor, and he has stepped behind the camera on occasion to direct. What projects has Cudlitz directed?

In season 9 of The Walking Dead, Cudlitz directed the seventh episode, "Stradivarius." This episode occurred years after his character, Abraham Ford, died in season 7. He is the first TWD actor to direct an episode of the series. He is the second actor in the franchise to direct with Colman Domingo (Victor Strand) as the first when he directed an episode of Fear the Walking Dead during that series' fourth season.

"Stradivarius" was written by Vivian Tse and begins with Rosita (Christian Serratos) sporting a nasty head wound as she runs from walkers who are breathing heavily and talking. Carol (Melissa McBride) and Henry (Matt Lintz) visit Daryl (Norman Reedus) at his camp. Viewers learn more about the newcomers who are part of Magna's (Nadia Hilker) group.

The official synopsis of the episode reads: “Carol seeks out an old friend living alone in a wilderness teeming with walkers; survivors make the perilous trek to a new home.”

Cudlitz would once again direct TWD in season 10 episodes “Silence the Whisperers” and “Open Your Eyes,” which are two amazing episodes, and then again in season 11, "Rogue Element."

The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 1

Cudlitz would also direct two episodes of the second spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond. He directed the sixth and seventh episodes, “Shadow Puppets” and “Truth or Dare" which are two of the best from this season.

Another project listed on IMDB with Cudlitz as the director is a short film, On Earth, as it is in Heaven, written by his wife, Rachael Cudlitz. This short is set on a vast prairie outside a California gold rush town. A drunk wakes up to find he is alone with a young girl who is beaten and bloody. The film stars Jamie McShane, Pearly Wong, Nick Epper, and Silas Borelly.
