When The Walking Dead began airing on AMC in 2010, no one had a clue that it would become a cultural phenomenon. The main series spawned a slew of spinoffs set in the same world while expanding the universe with new locations and new characters. In 2024, the sixth spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, will premiere.
On February 25, 2025, Rick and Michonne will once again grace our screens in a series that will focus on their struggle to fight anything that comes against them as they seek out each other. After all these years, neither one has given up hope of finding the other, proving their story is one of epic love.
The fandom has longed for the return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in a reprisal of their roles of Rick and Michonne, respectively. The wait is almost over, and a new first-look trailer has been released, giving fans a teaser of what to expect from this series.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
The Ones Who Live will also see the return of Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes a role, which Pollyanna McIntosh will once again play. She is a member of the Civic Republic Military (CRM), a highly advanced community whose military is run by the ruthless Major General Beale (Terry O'Quinn). This series will see a significant focus on CRM.
Two other familiar faces return, Aiden (Breeda Wool) and Bailey (Andrew Bachelor), who appeared during season 10 in Michonne's final episode. The pair were part of a massive caravan seen in the distance. The trailer shows they are with Michonne as they fight walkers and flee green gas, likely detonated by the CRM.
Lesley-Ann Brandt will portray Pearl Thorne, another person held by the CRM who knows Rick. Nat (Matthew Jeffers) is a new character who appears to be one of Michonne's new allies.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premires on AMC and AMC+ on February 25. 2024. Don't miss it!!
