Actor Kirk Acevedo is well known for numerous roles throughout his career and was featured in three episodes of the fourth season of The Walking Dead series.

Acevedo portrayed a character named Mitch Dolgen, who was introduced in episode 7, "Dead Weight." He was part of a group that, along with his brother Pete (Enver Gjokaj) and leader Caesar Martinez (Jose Pablo Cantillo), discovered the Governor, using his new identity as Brian Heriot, in a walker pit with a little girl, Meghan (Meyrick Murphy).

Mitch and his brother were vastly different, as Mitch was selfish and greedy, and Pete was caring and selfless. They were civil with one another despite their differences, and when the Governor killed Martinez, a fact the brothers didn't know, Pete tried to take over the leadership of the group. He is eventually brutally killed by the Governor. When the Governor tells Mitch that he killed his brother because he was weak, he understood and came alongside the Governor when he took over leadership of the camp.

During episode 8, "Too Far Gone," during the Governor's raid on the prison, which housed Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group, Mitch was part of the assault. As Rick tries to reason with the Governor, Mitch tells him, "What we want is what you got. Period. Time for you to leave, asshole!" After Hershel's (Scott Wilson) beheading by the Governor, he orders his group to drive through the fences and kill everyone. Mitch replies, "Roger that," and drives a tank into the prison yard, a skill he learned in the US Army, knocks down the fences, and blows up much of the prison.

Mitch Dolgen's death

After Mitch blows up a large portion of the prison, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) throws a grenade down the gun barrel of the tank. Mitch escapes before it explodes and holds his hands in surrender. Daryl proceeds to shoot him through the heart with an arrow. Mitch's corpse is seen near the destroyed tank in episode 10, "Inmates,"
