Who did Pruitt Taylor Vince portray in The Walking Dead?

Pruitt Taylor Vince, well known for many roles throughout his career, has been cast in James Gunn's Superman.

Deadline reports that Pruitt Taylor Vince has been added to the cast of James Gunn's Superman, which is produced by DC Studios and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. This film marks the first in the DCU (DC Universe) and a reboot of the Superman film series.

In season 2 of The Walking Dead, Taylor Vince portrayed Otis in two episodes. He is the man who accidentally shot Carl Grimes (Chander Riggs) while tracking a deer. Married to Patricia (Jane McNeill), he was a farmhand on Hershel's (Scott Wilson) farm years before the outbreak and continued afterward. A kind and generous man, Otis volunteered to go with Shane (Jon Bernthal) to retrieve the supplies Hershel needed to save Carl's life. But Shane, being who he was, sacrificed Otis to save himself and come home the hero. Otis was torn apart by walkers.

Pruitt Taylor Vince cast in Superman

Taylor Vince has been cast as the adoptive father of Superman, Jonathan Kent, who is human. Superman/Clark Kent, a native of Krypton will be played by David Corenswet.

The film is written and directed by Gunn and is inspired by the comic All-Star Superman (2005-2008) written by Grant Morrison, drawn by Frank Quitely, and digitally inked by Jamie Grant. The story revolves around Superman's desire to see his Kryptonian heritage and adoptive family in Kansas coexist.

Additionally, Gunn's brother Sean Gunn is rumored to appear as Maxwell Lord, and Milly Adcock will join the cast as Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El / Supergirl.

Superman will premiere in theaters on July 11, 2025, and is the first installment of DC's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
