Beginning in the ninth season of The Walking Dead, actress Cailey Fleming would take on the role of Judith Grimes after the time jump. Her introduction was outstanding as she stood donning the hat passed to her by her brother Carl (Chandler Riggs), carrying a smaller version of Michonne's (Danai Gurira) katana and holding her father, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) gun. She is quite the survivor for someone so young and has been without her parents for too long. Will Judith appear in a spinoff series?
Fans eager to see the reunion of Rick and Michonne in their new series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live also long for the couple to be reunited with their two surviving children, Judith and R.J. (Antony Azur). Most can agree that this only makes sense, as parents who have been away from their children for so long would be quick to return to them.
AMC has made no announcement regarding the inclusion of Judith or R.J. in a new series. This seems like a logical step in the return of Rick and Michonne to the storyline. The Ones Who Live premieres on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024, a date that falls six years after the debut of the season 8 episode, "Honor," in which Carl dies.
The Walking Dead - Judith Grimes
In season 10, after many years of believing Rick died in the bridge explosion, Michonne would learn of his survival. She discovers his possessions on a boat that washed ashore on Bloodworth Island. When she informs Judith about her father's fate, Judith encourages Michonne to search for him. She tells Michonne that he could be trying to make his way back to them and may need her help.
The Grimes family has been apart for many years and a reunion of this family is a treat the fandom needs to see. Don't miss the premiere of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live in February 2024.
