The first season of Silo, a sci-fi dystopian drama created by Justified's Graham Yost, received positive reviews and has been renewed for a second season. Based on Hugh Howey's novels, Woold, Shift, and Dust, the series is set in the future, where a community exists in a massive 144-level underground silo.

Avi Nash portrayed Lukas Kyle in season 1 with Rebecca Ferguson, Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Rick Gomez, and Chinaza Uche. Ferguson will return as Juliette Nicholes, the engineer who becomes very involved in the silo's mysterious past and present. There have been no other announcements for season 2 casting, but it is likely Nash, Common, Robbins, Uche, and Walter will also be returning.

Details for the upcoming season have been kept quiet, but the second book, Shift, is a prequel. The series varies greatly from the books, so it is uncertain how the prequel will fit into the current story that ended on a significant cliffhanger in season 1.

Ahead of the season 1 premiere, Nash shared his excitement about the series, stating that the series asks the question of what truth means to a society. He described the series as a thriller with romantic comedy and romantic drama aspects, which he believed would keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Nash has previously starred in Barry, Silicon Valley, and It's a Man World, and next, he will star in Braid, a film that centers around three women who have never met but share a unique and intimate bond.
