In April 2025, The Walking Dead: Dead City actor Kim Coates shared an exciting teaser via Instagram. He and fellow TWDU actor Norman Reedus were in Macon, Georgia, with a film crew, leading everyone to rightfully believe they were filming a new season of Ride with Norman Reedus.
Fans of Reedus will get a double dose of the motorcycle aficionado in the fall of 2025. His TWD spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, premieres on September 7, where he is joined by Melissa McBride, who portrays Carol Peletier. Soon after, Ride with Norman season 7 will begin on September 14. Both will air on AMC and AMC+, and the previous season can be viewed on AMC+.
Reedus' travel series began airing on AMC in 2016. The show is hosted by Reedus, who is joined by a celebrity guest, and they travel to a specific location on motorcycles, of course. During their travels, they sample local flavor and learn more about the bike culture in the area. The series features Reedus and his travel companion as they discover new adventures along their journeys.
The first season destinations were located within the United States. In season 2, Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan traveled to Spain, he joined Andrew Lincoln and his father-in-law Ian Anderson, of Jethro Tull, in England, and Melissa McBride traveled with him in Scotland.
Throughout the series run, Reedus has been joined by an all-star lineup of guests. Notably, several of his TWD co-stars, including Morgan, Lincoln, McBride, Steven Yeun, Michael Rooker, Ryan Hurst, and TWD director and SFX guru Greg Nicotero.
Other notable names that have joined the series include Keanu Reeves, Josh Holloway, Josh Brolin, Sean Patrick Flannery, Les Claypool, Peter Fonda, Balthazar Getty, and more.
The fifth season of the series featured two travel episodes, one with Brolin on the North Island of New Zealand, and Dylan McDermott joined him on the South Island. The remaining 4 episodes were highlight episodes, featuring a look back on Reedus' favorite moments from the first four seasons.
Below is a recent social media post highlighting the guests for season 7. Reedus will be joined by Dark Winds actor Zahn McClaronon, Sons of Anarchy's Kim Coates, Terminator 2: Judgment Day actor Robert Patrick (who also guest-starred in TWD), and Walking Dead Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple. One comment on the post from Georgia Motor Oil/Tyler Newsome reveals that Reedus and Coates visited this business during their episode.
