Variety reports that Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead actor Lennie James has been cast in the fourth season of the crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown. James has starred in numerous roles throughout this career, including Morgan Jones of TWDU, who became the first crossover character within the franchise.
Mayor of Kingstown was created for Paramount+ by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone universe, Tulsa King) and singer, actor, and producer Hugh Dillion, who also stars. The series premiered on the streamer in Nov. 2021 and has, despite low praise from critics, gained popularity with viewers.

The story is set in the fictional town of Kingstown, Michigan, and follows Mike McLusky and his powerful family, who have made their goal to keep peace in their town. The main problem that they encounter is that the only thriving industry is incarceration. The McLusky's have long served as mediators between street gangs, prisoners, guards, and cops.
Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner leads the series as Mike McLusky. Additional cast members include Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Derek Webster, Emma Laird, Nichole Galicia, and more.
James was announced for season 4 with additional newcomers to the series, Edie Falco (The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie) and Laura Benanti (Younger, No Hard Feelings). James will portray a character named Frank Moses, "a legendary gangster respected in the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan, and well beyond.” Falco joins as Nna Hobbs, the new prison warden for Anchor Bay, and Benaniti plays Cindy Stephens, a newly recruited correctional officer.
