Steven Yeun has officially signed on for another new Netflix series, and it's his second big TV role since starring as Glenn Rhee in The Walking Dead.
Yeun will star as Gus in Pagans, a new supernatural Netflix series from Joshua Zetumer, who is also the showrunner, according to a report from Deadline. Yeun is also an executive producer on the series.
Here's a look at what Netflix's Pagans will be about, via Deadline:
"Equal parts emotional, horrifying and humorous, Pagans unearths all our darkest thoughts about family. It follows Gus (Yeun) who becomes the sole caretaker of his two children after the tragic loss of his wife. While his son is typical, his daughter, Alice, is anything but. What starts as a strained father-daughter relationship soon evolves into something far more sinister."
This show sounds terrific, and it seems like it has all the makings of a great part for Yeun, who has proved to be one of the most versatile actors of the last decade. It's hard to not start to wonder about awards buzz for Yeun in this role after his incredible run in Netflix's Beef.
There's still not a lot that we know about Pagans right now. While I wish I could share that production has started and that we have a release date for the series and other big stuff like that, I can't. So, we'll be waiting a long time until we see this one. I think we all know it's going to be worth the wait.

Yeun is The Walking Dead's most decorated Netflix star
Pagans isn't Yeun's first rodeo with Netflix. In fact, Yeun is probably the most decorated Walking Dead star on Netflix right now!
Yeun's first big TV role after The Walking Dead was starring alongside Ali Wong in Beef. Yeun actually won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series for his role in the series. It's an incredible series. I highly recommend Beef to anyone who loved Yeun as Glenn in The Walking Dead.
Shortly after, Yeun starred in The Rip alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, which is Netflix's second biggest movie of 2026 so far. It's hard to go toe-to-toe with Damon and Affleck in a crime thriller like The Rip, but Yeun actually stole the show and turned in a better performance than two of the most famous actors and best performers in the industry.
Yeun also stars in another Netflix movie soon, too. Animals, which is directed by Affleck, premieres on Netflix on Oct. 9, 2026. So, you don't have long before you can catch Yeun in his next new project.
Of course, you can also watch Yeun in the first seven seasons of The Walking Dead, which are going to be on Netflix for at least the next five years thanks to Netflix's new AMC deal.
Yeun isn't the only Walking Dead star making waves on Netflix, either. Jon Bernthal starred in His and Hers at the beginning of 2026, and it was the second-most popular Netflix show of the first half of the year. Alexandra Breckenridge, who was on The Walking Dead in season 5, also is the star of Virgin River, one of Netflix's most successful romantic dramas.
We'll share more news about upcoming projects for Yeun and other Walking Dead stars as we find out. Stay tuned for more information about Pagans.
