There is no denying that Danny Ramirez has been awfully busy, between his role as Abby's friend Manny in HBO's The Last of Us season 2 (Jorge Lendeborg Jr. has been cast for season 3, replacing Ramirez after he had to exit the show), the new Falcon (Joaquin Torres) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the upcoming film De Noche co-starring alongside Pedro Pascal. Amongst all of his projects, Ramirez is undertaking his directorial debut, Baton.

With production already underway in Atlanta, the cast is stacked, from the likes of Maia Reficco, Lewis Pullman, Ester Expósito, Noah Beck, and the new addition of fellow talent and The Last of Us costar Gabriel Luna. Baton, also starring Ramirez, will be a story of a soccer player chasing his dreams, no matter the cost, even if it means losing his remaining family members.

While Luna's role remains a mystery, as is for the rest of the cast, he too, has quite the resume. Most recently, Luna has been known for his roles as Joel's younger brother Tommy Miller in The Last of Us, Rafael Tovar in Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, and Boro Polonia in FUBAR.

Though most of Luna's fans remember him from his Ghost Rider days in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. With The Last of Us returning for supposedly one final season, and Tommy's direct involvement with Ellie's quest for revenge against Abby, fans are looking forward to Luna's return.

The live action video game adaptation of the same name made some changes on occasion, including Tommy's absence during Joel's death at the hands of Abby and a golf club. However, one thing we believe to be certain is Tommy's chance at revenge by killing Abby's last surviving friend (at this point) Manny.

Of course, Tommy doesn't survive this seemingly unending quest unscathed, becoming one more ounce of evidence of how costly revenge can be. The Last of Us season 3 is expected to begin filming in April.

Where season 1 and 2 seemed to focus on Joel and Ellie, their painful pasts and present father-daughter bond, season 3 will give audiences the opportunity to follow Abby's story as she obsesses over finding Joel for killing her father, the Firefly doctor, having gone from being a Firefly herself to a WLF.

We look forward to learning more about Ramirez's Baton and Luna's return in The Last of Us season 3.
