A new Walking Dead game is coming to an app store near you very soon.
The Walking Dead: Aftermath officially launches for iOS and Android on Thursday, July 16.
The RPG mobile roguelite game is from Ares Interactive, the creators of Heroes vs. Hordes. The new game allows gamers to play as Rick Grimes, Michonne, Daryl Dixon, and other Walking Dead characters if they take some extra steps, as they fight off hordes of walkers at a number of key locations, including Woodbury, Hershel's Farm, and Alexandria.
The Walking Dead: Aftermath was announced this spring, but at that time, we only knew that the game was coming sometime this July. Now, we finally have a date for Walking Dead fans to put on their calendar and get excited about.

The Walking Dead: Aftermath isn't the only Walking Dead game in the works right now, either. The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is officially in the works, and it will be available on a number of consoles when it's released. So far, we don't know when to expect the game to be released, but we have another one to play first, and that's Aftermath.
The next few weeks are going to be quite epic for Walking Dead fans. First, we have the release of The Walking Dead: Aftermath on Thursday, July 16. Then, we have San Diego Comic-Con beginning one week later on Thursday, July 23. We don't know exactly what AMC and The Walking Dead have planned, but they always have a presence at the convention. SDCC comes to an end on Sunday, July 26, and that's when Dead City season 3 premieres on AMC and AMC+.
Daryl Dixon season 4 is also likely going to premiere later this summer or early fall, so that's another big thing, perhaps the biggest thing, to watch for this summer.
The Walking Dead summer is just getting started. I would suggest planning accordingly! We're going to get a lot of news, a new season, and at least one new game coming in the next few weeks.
