The Walking Dead remains one of the most globally successful franchises in today's day and age. Over three years after the original series concluded its 11-season run, the appeal of the undead nightmare that is the TWD Universe is unwavering, picking up new fans through each and every year. On one hand that's down to the fact that the mothership show is streaming on Netflix in the US and Disney Plus in the UK and on the other it's due to the various spinoffs that keep the show's legacy alive.

There's plenty of Walking Dead content for fans to enjoy, with six spinoffs and countless seasons to its name. And, for fans in the UK, they now get to experience yet another beloved TWD series for the first time (or revisit it if they've already watched it). And that means that the largest Walking Dead collection on any service in the UK just got bigger, adding the show that fans had been waiting for.

Sky acquires Fear The Walking Dead for UK viewers

Fear The Walking Dead is officially a part of Sky's Walking Dead collection in the UK. The beloved spinoff series has finally had all eight of its seasons added to both Sky and streaming companion NOW TV for UK audiences to enjoy as of December 31 2025. That means that you can watch the show daily on Sky Max, access all eight seasons via Sky Box Sets, or simply stream it on NOW.

Fear has very quickly made its presence felt - breaking into the Weekly Top 10 at No. 9. Not bad for a show that has been off the air since 2023! And honestly, considering that it was the most high-profile TWD series not to be a part of Sky's line-up up until that point, it's no surprise to hear that it's doing so well.

Sky has become the UK home for The Walking Dead Universe in recent years, acquiring the original series ahead of airing the newer spinoffs, which UK audiences had been longing to see - especially after their US debuts generated a lot of buzz. Sure enough, Sky has aired both seasons of Dead City, all three seasons of Daryl Dixon, as well as the single season of miniseries The Ones Who Live. Over a year into the partnership, Sky has also begun retroactively adding some of the classic TWD spinoffs, including Tales of the Walking Dead - which had only briefly been available in the UK prior to this.

Fear's addition to the platform means that Sky now has the rights to six of the seven Walking Dead shows. The only one that it doesn't have available (at least not yet) is miniseries The Walking Dead: World Beyond, which showcased a new future where young people grew up in the apocalypse. Both World Beyond and Fear where exclusive to Prime Video in the UK during a portion of their runs (including the whole of the former's run), so it's not surprising that those were the two holdouts. But with Fear joining the Sky ranks, it might only be a matter of time until World Beyond surfaces too.

Originally a Walking Dead prequel, Fear The Walking Dead's first three seasons spotlighted the early days of the zombie apocalypse, showing us all how Madison Clark and her family survived at a time when so few did. From season 4 onwards, it became a companion show that introduced TWD's own Morgan Jones (Lennie James) as the main character. While that creative change significantly harmed the show, Fear is still an enjoyable part of the TWD Universe that features the all-important beginning to TV's most famous apocalypse - and its arrival on Prime Video UK will certainly fill that Walking Dead-shaped hole in TWD fans' lives as they wait for the newer spinoffs to return with their next seasons.

All eight seasons of Fear The Walking Dead are now available on Sky and NOW TV.
