Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) and Angel Theory (Kelly) will star in a new horror comedy, Bloody Axe Wound, a Shudder original from RLJE Films.
Matthew John Lawrence (Uncle Peckerhead) wrote and directed the coming-of-age slasher that was filmed near the home of Morgan, his wife Hilarie Burton Morgan, and their family in the Hudson Valley area. Lawrence produces with the Morgans, Mary Stuart Masterson, Liz DeCesare O’Leary, Jordan Manekin Topper, and Meg Mortimer.
Morgan took to social media to encourage fans to head to the theaters to view the movie on the premiere date of Dec. 27. Tickets can be purchased via the Bloody Axe Wound website.

The official trailer for Bloody Axe Wound sets the story to be a weird, fun, campy, slasher that is sure to please fans of the genre.
Bloody Axe Wound follows Abbie Bladecut, a teenager growing up in Clover Falls. Her life is much different than that of her peers as her father, Roger, films and sells live footage of real-life murders. As she handles the emotions of her first crush, she also contemplates her family's macabre legacy. She must determine if things will continue as is or if it is time for a change.
The film stars A.P. Bio actors Sari Arambulo and Eddie Leavy, Dexter: Original Sin's Molly Brown, , Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), Billy Burke (Twilight), Sage Spielman (Great Kills), Matt Hopkins, David Littleton, Keaton Morris, Stan, and Rena Burkhart. Angel Theory appears in a supporting role.
The movie is set to an outstanding soundtrack featuring Pom Pom Squad, Five Hundred Bucks, He is Legend, and Your Future Ghost.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan - The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2
In Spring 2025, fans of Morgan's will be able to see him back in action as Negan in The Walking Dead spinoff Dead City. The second season of the series will see Negan step back into his role as a leader, complete with the leather jacket and a new Lucille. He will join the criminal elements in post-apocalyptic Manhattan to take over the island.
In season 1, the unlikely pairing of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan took place as they rescued her son Hershel (Logan Kim). Unknown to Negan, Maggie had plans to betray him by agreeing to exchange the former leader of the Saviors for her son's release.
The Walking Dead: Dead City will return to AMC and AMC+ in the spring of 2025 with an exciting second season.
