Actor, writer, and musician Nick Gomez is well remembered for his season 3 role as Tomas in The Walking Dead. Tomas was part of the group of prisoners discovered in the West Georgia Correctional Facility where Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group set up residence. Gomez has recently appeared in several new projects, including season 2 of the CBS series Tracker.

The series that airs on CBS and Paramount+ was created by Ben H. Winters, known for his novels The Last Policeman and Underground Airlines. Tracker is based on Jeffery Deaver's 2019 same-titled novel. The second season premiered in Oct. 2024, with the season finale set to air on March 16.

The story follows Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), a man skilled in the art of survival who hires out his skills to assist law enforcement and private citizens. Hartley is joined by Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, and Fiona Rene, rounding out the main cast.

On Feb. 23 Gomez joined the cast in ep. 210 "Nightingale," directed by Jon Huertas and written by Ryan O'Nan and Dominique A. Holmes. The episode features Shaw in a search for a singer who is linked to a violent crime. He soon discovers that he is up against a stoic survivor, not unlike himself.

Gomez shared the exciting news via Instagram with the caption "Tonight on a new episode of Tracker—there will be blood… and probably a very concerned look from Justin Hartley. Also, at least one dramatic pause and a flashlight for sure."
