You can pretty much ask anyone what the greatest zombie show of all time is, and odds are The Walking Dead will come up within seconds. Even now, years after the series ended, the strong connection fans have with this show hasn’t faded. The world of The Walking Dead still lives on through the characters people can’t stop talking about, the scenes they rewatch, and the actors who helped bring that apocalyptic story to life.
That’s why moments that reconnect fans to the series hit a little differently. A good example is when a familiar face from the apocalypse steps back into the spotlight. It doesn't have to necessarily be on screen, but in person, where stories can be shared, memories revisited, and the bond between cast and fans becomes real once again. This spring 2026, that emotional connection is getting a revival in the most exciting way possible.
Walking Dead star Ross Marquand is officially a guest at 2026 SC Comicon

We're not joking around, Walking Dead fans. Ross Marquand, the actor who gave life to the kind, brave, and quietly heroic Aaron in The Walking Dead, is officially a guest at the upcoming SC Comicon in Greenville, South Carolina. His guest appearance was officially announced via the official SC Comicon Instagram page on Jan. 26.
So, what is SC Comicon? Simply put, it’s South Carolina’s premier comic and pop culture convention, held annually at the Greenville Convention Center. The event is a multi-day celebration. From celebrity guests and panel discussions to artist alley, cosplay contests, and collectible vendors, SC Comicon brings together creators and fans for a shared experience that goes far beyond what happens on-screen.
This year is particularly exciting for Walking Dead fans since Marquand will be on-site. He will attend both days of the event, which are April 11 and April 12. Besides meeting this talented actor, fans also have the opportunity to get autographs, take selfies, and participate in professional photo ops. In addition, video recordings are offered. You can purchase all of these experiences in advance via the official SC Comicon website.
It's also worth mentioning that entry into this fan convention is not free. Regular admission for April 11 is $30, while admission on April 12 is $25. So if you live in the Greenville area or will be visiting around this time, now is the perfect opportunity to secure your tickets and make sure you don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet Ross Marquand in person. Perhaps he might even let fans in on some behind-the-scenes stories from his experience working on The Walking Dead.
Besides SC Comicon, fans can look forward to Marquand's voice work in the upcoming Invincible season 4 and X-Men '97 season 2. Both shows are returning this year. He voices various characters in both of these popular animated series. In addition, news just recently broke that Marquand's been cast in a horror-thriller flick titled Unknown Company. That's another project to keep an eye out for as well.
