Prime Video premiered the second season of The Boys spinoff, Gen V, on September 17. The second season's events occur after season 4 of the main series and feature a Walking Dead alum who portrayed a member of Negan's Saviors.

Gen V was created by The Boys creator Eric Kripke, with Craig Rosenberg and Evan Goldberg for Prime Video. The first season, which received numerous positive reviews, was released in September 2023 and renewed for a second season shortly after.

The Walking Dead actor Zach McGowan took to social media to announce his inclusion in the most recent season of Gen V. Below is the actor's photo of himself the first time he put on the super suit for his character Dogknott, who is a dog-themed bounty hunter supe.

Dogknott is an animalistic and impulsive character featured in The Boys comic, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. His personality and abilities revolve around the canine theme, granting him enhanced senses, feral strength, and speed. His fighting style also reflects these canine traits.

Gen V airs on Prime Video with new episodes released weekly on Wednesdays. Season 2 will conclude its 8-part season on October 22.

McGowan is well known for several roles, including Captain Charles Vane in the Starz action-adventure series Black Sails. This role, a fictionalized version of the real-life pirate, required an English actor, so McGowan used a fake accent. Upon discovery, he impressed the casting directors, and he was given the role.

He portrayed King Roan of the Ice Nation in the CW's sci-fi drama The 100. Many of his fans are fond of his Shameless character Jody Silverman, which began as guest role in season 2 and became a series regular in season 3.

Fans of The Walking Dead remember him as Justin, a member of Negan's Saviors featured in season 9. He was far from a team player, often slacking in the duties expected of him, without regard for who it affected. He was found to be a brutal killer, taking part in the mass execution of the male residents at Oceanside. He is later killed by Beatrice, the wife of an Oceanside man he killed.

Some of his most recent roles include Compulsion, The Rookie: Feds, Sanctioning Evil, Blood & Treasure, and Murder at Yellowstone City.

Next, he will appear in the horror thriller, The Wolf and the Lamb, directed by Michael Schilf that is set during the westward expansion in the 1870s.
