There’s something undeniably exciting about seeing your favorite shows hit Netflix. Suddenly, that series you’ve been obsessing over, or the one everyone’s been talking about, becomes instantly available anytime you want.
The streaming giant is known for licensing content from networks like AMC, giving fans access to some of the most thrilling, binge-worthy series on television. Thanks to this partnership, iconic shows like The Walking Dead and its spinoffs are now just a click away, ready for fans to dive into whenever they choose.
But here’s the thing. Not all of The Walking Dead spinoffs are currently streaming on Netflix. There are only a few, while the others remain frustratingly out of reach. We're about to enter into a new year, and we thought it would be the perfect opportunity for the streamer to finally bring these missing spinoffs to its platform. Obviously, we're not expecting them to hit Netflix by the end of 2025. But perhaps sometime early next year, the streaming giant could expand its lineup by giving fans access to the full Walking Dead universe.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
- Creators: Scott M. Gimple, Danai Gurira, and Andrew Lincoln
- Cast: Danai Gurira, Andrew Lincoln, Pollyanna McIntosh, Terry O'Quinn, Lesley-Ann Brandt
- Seasons: 1
When asked which is the best Walking Dead spinoff, many fans would probably say The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. And honestly? I get it completely. This zombie series brings back two of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise, and puts them at the heart of a story that’s as thrilling as it is emotional. Things didn't leave off great with Rick and Michonne in the original series, with both of them separated. Rick was believed to be dead after the bridge explosion, and Michonne didn't find out he was alive until much later.
But in The Ones Who Live, we finally get to see their stories continue, and it’s everything fans could have hoped for. The series follows Rick and Michonne as they navigate a world still teeming with walkers, while also confronting the emotional scars of their separation. Throughout the six episodes, we watch them struggle, fight, and make impossible choices not just for survival, but for the chance to reunite with each other.
While Rick is held captive at the CRM, Michonne searches tirelessly for him. Overall, The Ones Who Live is truly a love letter to fans, giving longtime viewers the emotional payoff we’ve been waiting for since Rick and Michonne’s paths first diverged. The zombie series was available to stream on Netflix earlier this year, but was removed this past August. Hopefully, the streaming giant acquires the streaming rights from AMC again.

Tales of the Walking Dead
- Creators: Scott M. Gimple and Channing Powell
- Cast: Terry Crews, Olivia Munn, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Samantha Morton, Lauren Glazier, Jessie T. Usher, Daniella Pineda, Danny Ramirez
- Seasons: 1
Tales of the Walking Dead is different than other Walking Dead spinoffs in that it’s an anthology series, meaning each episode tells a completely self-contained story. Instead of following a single group of characters over a continuous storyline, it explores new perspectives, settings, and situations within the same post-apocalyptic universe.
This spinoff isn't one of the best, but OG Walking Dead fans will absolutely enjoy the "Dee" episode. That episode dives into the origin story of Dee, better known to fans as Alpha in the original series, the infamous leader of the Whisperers. It follows Dee as she struggles to survive in the early days of the apocalypse while raising her young daughter, Lydia. Tales of the Waking Dead has never been available to stream on Netflix, so it would be a welcome addition for subscribers if it were ever to be added.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond
- Creators: Scott M. Gimple and Matthew Negrete
- Cast: Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Hal Cumpston, Nicolas Cantu, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru, Julia Ormond, Pollyanna McIntosh
- Seasons: 2
Another Walking Dead spinoff that has never streamed on Netflix is The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Like with Tales of the Walking Dead, World Beyond takes a different approach from the main series, focusing on a younger generation of survivors navigating the apocalypse. The show follows two sisters, Iris and Hope, as they leave their sheltered community along with a few friends to embark on a dangerous journey to find their father, who is working on a possible cure for the zombie virus at a secret research facility.
While it wasn’t as widely praised as some other spinoffs, World Beyond still offers an interesting and fresh perspective on the Walking Dead universe. The series explores how a new generation copes with the harsh realities of the apocalypse, showing the challenges, dangers, and moral dilemmas they face along the way.
