For fans of The Walking Dead, Netflix has always been a go-to streaming destination for fans. Netflix has been where many fans have gone to re-watch past seasons of their favorite shows in the franchise, as well as where many fans have fallen in love with The Walking Dead for the first time.

Outside of AMC+, Netflix is home to the largest collection of Walking Dead shows; however, that collection will soon be getting a bit smaller.

In a surprising move, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will be leaving Netflix on August 19 after just a few short months on the platform. The show is among a wave of AMC properties that are getting removed from Netflix’s library this August, with The Dirty Black Bag, Preacher, Monsieur Spade, The Terror, Kevin Can F**k Himself, Into the Badlands, and Gangs of London all being removed on Aug. 19.

It’s the result of the expiration of Netflix’s licensing deal with AMC, which was inked last August and led to the addition of several hit AMC shows coming to Netflix for the first time. The deal brought a wave of new AMC originals to Netflix, but it came with an expiration date, as it was a single-year deal in most instances. That deal comes to an end on August 19, which is why we’re seeing The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and so many amazing AMC shows getting removed from Netflix at once.

Walking Dead fans need to binge The Ones Who Live on Netflix before August 19

Of the shows leaving Netflix on August 19, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is definitely the title we’re most disappointed to see go. The show only dropped on Netflix in January, which means fans have had just a few months to enjoy the series.

Die-hard fans have likely binged the show at least once by now. If you’re one of the few people who haven’t watched The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the countdown is officially on, and you’ve only got a few more days to enjoy the show before it’s pulled from Netflix’s library. Thankfully, the show makes for a perfect binge-watch watch which can be easily completed in a day!

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live was crafted to be a limited series, with the series consisting of just six episodes, all with runtimes less than 1 hour in length. This means you can binge-watch the show in just under 5 hours, which is more than doable in a single day if you settle in for a proper marathon!

We won’t get into spoilers for anyone who hasn’t yet watched the show, but we will say that the show is by far one of the best spinoffs to come out of The Walking Dead franchise! Getting to see Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira back together as Rick and Michonne was such a treat, with our only complaint being that the show left us wanting more of the two franchise veterans!

With The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live leaving Netflix on August 19, there is no time like the present to finally get around to watching the show!
