It is always a pleasure for The Walking Dead universe fans to see the actors we love appear in other films and TV shows. Whether it is in other TWDU-related spin-offs such as Dead City, in which Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan star, or completely new concepts such as Colman Domingo's role in The Color Purple (amongst many others), many fan favorites have returned to screens with their talent.

One of the more recent shows that has been announced for a spin-off series is Suits, which premiered in 2011 and ran for nine seasons. Amongst this record-breaking series making a return, there is a familiar face from the TWDU who has been cast as a new main character in this show and will most likely feature in a large portion of it. How exciting!

Mega hit series Suits welcomes popular The Walking Dead alumni Josh McDermitt to the first spin-off show the Universe currently has, Suits: L.A. It was announced the series pilot will stream in the US on February 23 on NBC at 9 PM ET/PT. But when can fans in the UK expect to see the series hit screens?

Suits: L.A. will feature the same creator and writer as the flagship series, Aaron Korsh, who is also a featured writer. The series will see TWD alumni Josh McDermitt play Stuart Lane and act alongside Stephen Amell, who will play Ted Black. The official synopsis leads fans to believe that the pair work alongside each other whilst Ted Black's firm is in crisis. Relationships in and out of the office will come to light alongside deep looks into the characters' lives.

This is McDermitt's first returning role in a television series since his portrayal of Eugene Porter in The Walking Dead. Only recently, Entertainment Weekly gave fans a look into the series with a massive feature of behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the set. These featured the other actors who will star in the show, such as Lex Scott Davis and Bryan Greenberg, with returning suits star Gabriel Macht.

The original series of Suits was wildly popular in the UK and aired on BBC, with episodes hitting iPlayer soon after and remaining there still. All episodes are also on Apple TV and popular choice Netflix, giving fans multiple ways to enjoy all 134 episodes of the show. Although all three are great platforms, BBC iPlayer is free (so long as you have a TV license), making it very accessible for fans to enter the world of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and the New York City law firm without ads.

Details of where Suits: L.A. will be streaming in the UK are still to be confirmed, but it would make sense to feature on mainstream BBC Channels. Although, if the usual time difference is anything to go by, it probably won't be the same date as the US. It can sometimes take weeks for the programs to air overseas, but hopefully, we will be able to see it before the Spring. We do have some hope because Netflix eventually put the Suits episodes on the platform very soon after their US air further into the run.

I hope to see the announcement of the UK broadcaster very soon, although I anticipate they may wait to see the ratings and reactions after the pilot has aired. I am grateful fans of Suits will have a spin-off to enjoy, and fans of TWD can see the actor play a completely different role. Good luck to the cast and crew for the series, which is currently filming in Los Angeles.

Suits: L.A. will premiere on NBC in the US on February 23. UK fans will have to stay posted for updates on the premiere of Suits: L.A., but they can catch up on Suits here.
