The Walking Dead has been a part of our lives for 15 years now, and it's still hard to believe that so much time has passed. We can still remember the very first episode. Watching Rick Grimes awaken in that abandoned hospital, disoriented and terrified, viewers were immediately thrown into a world where everything had been upended.
Over the show's lengthy run on AMC, we watched heroes rise and fall, villains manipulate and deceive, and ordinary people find courage they never knew they had. We also had to watch as some of our favorite characters faced devastating fates. Given how successful The Walking Dead turned out to be, AMC went ahead and decided to expand the universe even further by ordering several spinoffs.
Perhaps you want to take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the original series' most iconic moments. Or maybe you’re finally ready to catch up on the spinoffs that have brought back fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Carol, Negan, Maggie, Rick, and Michonne. Whatever the case, knowing where each show is streaming in 2025 can be a little confusing, especially with titles spread across multiple platforms. Don't worry. We've got you covered!
Where to watch every show in The Walking Dead universe in 2025

Note: Each one of these shows is also available to watch on some digital platforms by purchasing individual episodes or complete seasons.
The Walking Dead is available to watch on Netflix
This is true. You can stream all 11 seasons of The Walking Dead on Netflix right now. You would think the original series would be available to stream on AMC+ as well since it's an AMC show. However, AMC+ doesn’t carry the main series at the moment. Netflix currently holds the exclusive U.S. streaming rights, making it the only place to binge the show's entire run. The expiration date of the licensing deal is unknown.
Based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead revolves around former sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes and a group of survivors as they try their best to navigate a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. As they struggle to stay alive, they face constant danger from the undead and from other humans.
Fear: The Walking Dead can be watched on AMC+ and Netflix
Fear the Walking Dead serves as the first Walking Dead spinoff in the franchise. It starts as a prequel series for its first three seasons, exploring the early days of the zombie apocalypse through the eyes of a dysfunctional, blended family living on the West Coast of the United States. But when it reaches the fourth season, that's when the series shifts from a prequel to a companion show, bringing back OG Walking Dead character Morgan Jones. You can watch all eight seasons of this spinoff on both AMC+ and Netflix. Whichever works best for you!
The Walking Dead: World Beyond is streaming on AMC+
If you were hoping to watch The Walking Dead: World Beyond on Netflix, you'd be sadly mistaken. The show's two seasons are only available to stream on AMC+. What makes this spinoff different from the original series is that it takes place 10 years after the outbreak and centers around a group of teenagers who have grown up knowing nothing but the zombie apocalypse. The series follows two sisters, Hope and Iris Bennet, along with their friends, as they leave the safety of their Nebraska community to embark on a dangerous journey to rescue their father from the enigmatic CRM.
Tales of the Walking Dead can be streamed on AMC+
Tales of the Walking Dead consists of only one season, which is currently streaming on AMC+ like many other spinoffs on this list. It's an anthology series set in The Walking Dead universe, but it stands out from the other series because each episode tells a self-contained story about new or existing characters, rather than following a continuous main storyline. Additionally, a new, separate series called More Tales from the Walking Dead Universe is in the works at AMC. It will reportedly explore six more standalone stories, all set within the expansive Walking Dead universe.
The Walking Dead: Dead City is available to stream on AMC+ and Netflix
There are currently two seasons of The Walking Dead: Dead City, and both are streaming on AMC+. However, only the first installment is on Netflix at the moment. The second season is confirmed to be coming to Netflix soon, but a release date just hasn't been set yet. We're hoping the streaming giant adds the latest season to its platform before the end of the year. But we'll have to get back to you with these juicy details when they're announced.
The Walking Dead: Dead City follows Maggie and Negan as they venture into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan in search of Maggie’s kidnapped son, Hershel. A third season is in the works at AMC.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is streaming on AMC+ and Netflix
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon kicks off with Daryl waking up in a strange country, unsure how he arrived, and having to traverse a perilous, walker-filled environment while facing human threats. Another OG fan-favorite Walking Dead character, Carol, joins him in the second season, and together they work to find their way back home to America.
So far, this spinoff has three seasons. You can watch all three on AMC+, but only the first two are available on Netflix. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 is expected to land on Netflix in the future. Additionally, a fourth and final season is currently in development and is slated for a 2026 premiere on AMC.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live can be watched on AMC+
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is made up of one season, which is available to stream on AMC+. Back in January 2025, the popular spinoff was streaming on Netflix. However, the licensing deal expired in August, and the complete series was then removed from the platform. Unfortunately, it's unknown if it'll ever return.
The zombie series focuses on Rick and Michonne, exploring their journeys after leaving the main series. With Rick captured by the mysterious Civic Republic Military (CRM), the series follows Michonne as she searches for him. Meanwhile, Rick struggles to survive and uncover the secrets behind the CRM’s true intentions
