Actress Marlene Forte was first introduced into The Walking Dead universe in season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead. She portrayed Celia Flores, mother to Luis (Arturo Del Puerto) and adoptive mother of Thomas Abigail (Dougray Scott), former boyfriend to Victor Strand (Colman Domingo).
Her first appearance in FTWD was during ep. 204, "Blood in the Streets," which premiered on AMC on May 1, 2016 and was written by Kate Erickson and directed by Michael Uppendahl.
Celia was an extremely religious woman who gave off zealot vibes. She believed that the dead have always walked among us; you just couldn't see them and that killing a walker was an act of murder. But, she had no issues killing large groups of people in the name of protecting her "children." Her twisted views would be the death of her, and the ones she always protected devoured her in the end.
