Walking Dead Season 5: Early Death Predictions – Part 3

With season 5 of AMC’s The Walking Dead approaching rapidly, I’ve decided to try my hand at predicting the deaths of the characters.  I know I’ll struggle because of how unpredictable The Walking Dead is when it comes to characters living or dying.  However, I’ll give it my best shot.

Here is my obscenely early guesses as to who will make it out of season 5 alive and who will end up a meal for a walker:

Bob from The Walking Dead

• Personally, I’m not a fan of Bob’s character. Ever since he nearly got the group killed in an attempt to get a bottle of alcohol is something that I related to as a recovering alcoholic but also something that I now see as being extremely selfish.  Ever since then, Bob has kind of just been…there.  No real advancement for his character or anything.  Personally, I have Bob as one of my top candidates to die in season 5 of The Walking Dead.  Chance of death: 85%

Sasha from The Walking Dead

• Sasha has been unfairly clumped in with the boring Bob for too long.  Honestly, we don’t know enough about Sasha’s character to be either invested or disinterested.  With so much left to learn about her, I’d like for her to stick around a while longer.  As Tyreese’s little sister, there could be a fun storyline there to explore.  Honestly, I’m just hoping for a separation of Bob and Sasha more than anything for his character.  Chance of Death: 33%

• This is my current favorite character on The Walking Dead.  Despite all the hardships he fell on as the leader of a small group of survivors, he remained strong, yet sensitive.  He dealt with the death of Karen, the forgiveness of Carol and the craziness of Lizzy.  He’s a badass with a hammer who seems to be balanced enough to be a really interesting character in the escape from Terminus and upcoming interactions with Father Gabriel.  Chance of Death: 20%

• Carol is the dark horse candidate for surprise death of the year.  Despite that, I think she lives.  She was nominated for multiple awards for her performance in season 4 of The Walking Dead.  Sadly, it could happen because we’ve seen Carol’s character run the gauntlet on storylines.  The death of her daughter, the death of her husband, burning Karen, getting kicked out of the group, saving the group from Lizzy, and teaching the youth of the group to survive are just some of the things Carol has done.  However, having an actress of that caliber on your roster is something that the show needs to take advantage of.  Chance of Death: 25%
